Philadelphia native Sarah Gray is known for her vulnerable and soulful music that touches listeners from around the world. While she is known for her live performances, she is working in the studio on her debut project and is ready to share more music with her fans. Her new single “Make The Most Of It” is her second release from this project and tackles complex emotions from a breakup.
“Make The Most Of It” focuses on the pain of heartbreak. In the relationship Sarah Gray sings about, her partner has twisted the narrative of their split and has gotten into her head. As much as she wishes to remain unbothered by what is happening, she sings “Wish I could say ‘It doesn’t even phase me’”. Through moving acoustic guitar, Sarah Gray processes the tough emotions that accompany this separation.
Diving into “Make The Most Of It”, Sarah Gray shares:
“I wrote this song while I was staying in Salt Lake City, Utah at 12am after spending the day exploring the snowy streets of the city. Throughout that trip, I found it difficult to stay in the present and accept things as they came without overthinking them. As a perfectionist, I often get frustrated when things don’t go as planned. This song quite literally fell out of me as it’s a culmination of all of the feelings that I often experience in my daily life.”
