In her recent single “To the Moon”, pop artist, songwriter, and producer Jasmine Crowe proves her expertise in creating powerful music that will resonate with her audience. Crowe is no newcomer to the music scene, having won grand prize “Song of the Year” in the 2018 John Lennon Songwriting Competition with her single “Breaking Things”.
Skilled in piano, guitar, and violin, Crowe knows how to create a hit track. In “To the Moon”, she combines her dynamic voice with upbeat melodies to produce a piece that explores the importance of love. She sings “Now’s the only time / To the moon and back / I love you”, showing how special it is to be able to express love to another person, even if that person is no longer on the Earth.
Crowe expanded on this on her Instagram story, and said:
“The title track ‘To the Moon’ brings us full circle… Inspired by the loss of both of our fathers in sudden and unexpected ways I’ll reveal my personal story behind the lyrics. As most of you know, one of my trademark songs ‘Sky is Falling’ is written in dedication to my father Richard Crowe who was an astronomer. Coming up on the anniversary of his passing this Memorial Day, this new song released today on the full moon is my last experience with him saying goodbye.”
“To the Moon” is the final track of six on Crowe’s EP Moonbow, which can be heard today on streaming platforms such as Spotify.
