Find Your Way With Smith & Thell On New Single “UFO”

Date:

Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, Maria Jane Smith and Victor Thell (known as the indie folk duo, Smith & Thell) are back with their new single “UFO.” Inspired by the stories and experiences of people in their lives, this track focuses on finding your way in the midst of hardship and confusion, similar to their previous releases in 2024.

“UFO” is a story for those who are lost or looking for a place to call home. Powerful lyrics such as “I’ve been terrified / Running all my life / Flying object still unidentified / In the atmosphere all alone / Oh, won’t you take me to where I belong?” glide over uplifting guitar and energetic percussion, providing a sense of hope for those still searching for belonging.

Sharing more about “UFO”, Smith comments:

“It’s a song for the misfits who don’t belong. This person ends up in a conversation at a party and feels like an outsider. Maybe they’re too emotional or maybe they dress weird, but it’s that feeling of being an alien in this world. Conceptually, we always liked to write about space too.”
