SUNBURNT brings in the summer with “Tunnel Vision”

Date:

The fifth release from SUNBURNT, “Tunnel Vision”, infuses early oughts of SoCal pop punk with modern lyrics. As a trio, SUNBURNT decided to team up with Kyle Black, known for working with bands like State Champs and Pierce the Veil, to help bring their vision for this song to life.

The track opens with a strong guitar (Will Brown) that blends into lead vocalist, Justin Tyler. The guitar and bass (Alex Pombar) harken back to a mid-2000’s rom-com. Nostalgia propels this song forward, but the lyrics keep it grounded in current times with a sarcastic reminder that “everything is just fine” throughout.

The vocals are upbeat and injected with SoCal sunshine, but not without the whiplash of singing about the limitations of narrow-mindedness. Through this upbeat track, SUNBURNT encourages listeners to stop “wasting time” because “life is a balance” so it is okay to “let yourself fall”.
