Donna Lewis Unveils Her Striking Ten-Track Album ‘Rooms With A View’

Date:

Donna Lewis’ freshly released album Rooms With A View is her most powerful work to date. Lewis is celebrated for her record-breaking single “I Love You, Always Forever” which became the first track in history to surpass 1 million spins on US radio. Her new album Rooms With A View was written as the 25th anniversary of her smash hit approached when Lewis received news that would alter her life moving forward. Rooms With A View chronicles Lewis’ fight against breast cancer through vivid windows inside her deepest fears, offering profound insight on how she overcame each of them.

Rooms With A View was produced by Holmes Ives and offers shimmering electronics, ruminative synths, and contemplative beats. Her opening track “The Messenger” reflects on the emotions that surfaced in lieu of her diagnosis. It compels you with burgeoning hypotheticals that navigate the darkness of uncertainty at the start of Lewis’ journey. The fifth track where the album gets its title “Rooms With A View” was written and produced alongside Lewis’ son Archie Lewis-Harris. Lewis reminisces on the bright spots that revealed themselves under unexpected circumstances and the warm hands which aided her healing process. Lewis’ closing track “Roundabout” rings with crystal-clear precision as Lewis reflects on the end of an arch. “Roundabout” expresses her desire to move forward without falling back to the place where she started. Rooms With A View is Lewis’ open-hearted outcry of overcoming her deepest fears and emerging with newfound knowledge on her inner-strength.

Sharing more on her album, Lewis confides, “It is an offering of hope for anyone going through a dark tunnel. I am forever grateful to share it with you.”

Donna Lewis is now an ambassador for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. What started with the intention of becoming a 4-track EP blossomed into Lewis’ 10-track album. RooSms With A View explores every chapter of her story.
