Emerging Indie Rock artist Gavin McLeod is shaking up the music scene with his latest single, “Things We Used To Do.”

At only 24 years old, Gavin, who hails from Milton, Ontario, has been forging his own path in the music world from a young age. Taking inspiration from legends like Neil Young and modern giants like The Killers, Gavin’s music strikes a unique balance between introspective storytelling and electrifying anthems.

The new single Things We Used To Do” is a fascinating tale of collaboration and creativity in the studio. Through experimentation and teamwork, Gavin and his bandmates have created crafted a sound that blends soulful vocals, lively guitars, and pulsating rhythms. The song explores themes of nostalgia and moving on from past love.

“Things We Used To Do” was one of the first songs that we wrote for the new album. It was a song that had existed for a long time in many different forms, but never really worked until we tried it in the studio.

When my guitar player Patrick suggested a chord change, we all immediately felt like the code had been cracked, and we tracked the final version within a few takes. It was a real team effort getting this one across the finish line. Through all the many changes, the main riff that opens the song always remained from the conception of the song up until the final master.”

Produced by the acclaimed Ross Hayes Citrullo, both the new single and Gavin’s upcoming debut album, “The Constant Astonishment,” is poised to be a milestone in his career.

The new album was recorded live “off the floor” and captures the raw energy of McLeod’s live performances, demonstrating a tight chemistry between Gavin and his band.
