Jane Leopardo reflects on hometowns and exit signs in “Someone Else”

Date:

Jane Leopardo Someone Else

Up-and-coming Nashville indie rock artist Jane Leopardoย is no stranger to the stage. She grew up in the small town of Dekalb, Illinois where music remained as the biggest source of love in her life. Whether it was for her grade school choirs or her hometown band, she’s never failed to be able to captivate an audience with her powerful vocal performance. Jane writes introspective lyrics straight from the heart to go along with her passionate, enthralling melodies.

Jane’s debut singleย “Someone Else”ย is a heartbreaking, heavy-hitting anecdote. Blend The Japanese House’s synths and Slow Pulp’s energetic guitars and you’ll end up with this song. The track’s intensity builds up to its addicting chorus melody to match the emotion behind Leopardo’s vulnerable lyrics. The end of the song has the most delicate & honest string of words to bring the listener back down from the high-energy choruses. Leopardo sings “Turned around, you stabbed me in the back and cut so deep. But I can tell you’re happy, so I’ll just sit and bleed”ย closing out the track with the bittersweetness of unwanted closure.
