poolfire is feeling nostalgic with indie-rock “Heaven Knows”

Date:

poolfire - "Heaven Knows"

poolfire’s latest single, “Heaven Knows,” begins with smooth guitar picking before the vocals take shape, evoking the atmosphere of a warm summer night in the mountains. Poolfire’s vocals are smooth as butter when he reflects, “you look the same as the first day I met you / I can’t complain even though I would like to. However, the mood shifts as poolfire erupts into the chorus with nostalgia-ridden lyrics, revealing hat he called the other person through various ebbs and flows, concluding with the title lyric, “oh, heaven knows.”

With more than 50,000 Spotify listeners, poolfire is an emerging indie-rock artist prepared to make waves and take the genre by storm with their nostalgic sound. “Heaven Knows” comes after the releases of indie-rock tracks “periwinkle” and “MR SCARED.”

In the song’s outro, poolfire declares, “Let’s get to the good part / I’m tired of pretending,” emphasizing a desire for time to move steadfastly. Channeling early 2000s indie–rock vibes, poolfire’s music makes you want to get up and dance, making it an irresistible repeat-worthy track you won’t want to stop listening to.
