Since 2018, Sammy Rae & The Friends have been adored by fans for their fusion of soul, jazz, and rock. The band’s newest single, “Coming Home Song” feels like giving yourself a big hug. The lyrics are about being kind to yourself, and finding a home within yourself and your community. The intro melody sounds reminiscent of early swing & blues, and the instrumentation slowly builds throughout the song.
