Jade LeMac is feeling “Narcissistic” on new single

Date:

It’s possible that if Jade LeMac was in one of your classes in middle school, you saw her piecing together her next viral video. She attracted a strong following on Instagram during that time with her music, which grew into a strong following on TikTok in 2020. In 2021, Jade released her debut single, “Constellations,” which is now finding new life after being featured in My Life with the Walter Boys on Netflix last month. She has been checking off boxes left and right, especially in the past couple of years. In 2022, for instance, she made it onto GLAAD’s “10 LGBTQ Women in Music to Listen to this Pride Month” and onto GLAAD’s “20 Under 20” feature in Teen Vogue. She ended last year with a bang after the release of her sophomore EP, Confessions, and is starting the new year off strong. Her new single, “Narcissistic,” is from an upcoming deluxe version of the EP, dropping March 1.

On “Narcissistic,” Jade leans into her snarky, self-obsessed side. Her alt-pop vocals stand out against the synthy and dark production, drawing listeners into this egotistical world. With allure, she sings, “I’m so narcissistic / You could be my victim / Give me your tears / So I can sip them” and “Say you love me, then I’ll bite,” mixing romance with danger. It would definitely be an exciting addition to any upcoming playlist or mixtape for Valentine’s Day, but be careful if you share it with your crush. You can check it out below.

About “Narcissistic,” Jade reveals,

“’Narcissistic’ was inspired by the idea that toxicity can sometimes be a spicy little guilty pleasure in a relationship. It was so fun to step into that point of view during the writing process, and I’m so excited to share it!”

You can listen to “Narcissistic” on platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud.

Pre-save Confessions (Deluxe), out March 1, here.
