Girls Know kick off their debut EP with “Lovesick”

What began as a solo project by Paul Sawicki has since turned into the indie-rock group Girls Know. Girls Know’s sound can best be described as a blend of Surf Curse & The Strokes, with a hint of shoegaze. They released their debut single, Some Words back in 2022, and spent 2023 playing shows & perfecting their debut EP, All This Love Could Kill Me.

“Lovesick” is the lead single of the EP, as it holds the EP title within the lyrics. It’s about finding yourself wallowing in nostalgia, looking back on a relationship that had run its course. An element that really makes this track stand out is the contrast between the heaviness that the bass brings in the verses, versus the brightness that the guitar & vocals deliver in the chorus. The grainy instrumentation packs a punch, making this song a great introduction to All This Love Could Kill Me.
