Rising pop singer-songwriter Haiden has released his new single “Fresh Blood” off his sophomore EP, Choke on My HeartBefore signing with LAVA/Republic Records, Haiden uploaded his music on online platforms, gaining notable traction with millions of views with his debut EP, Good Grief!, accumulating more than 26 million streams.

“Fresh Blood” a guitar-driven song with a gritty beat, garnered more than 5 million views online before its release thanks to TikTok. Haiden confesses a desire for change but acknowledges his pattern of repeating mistakes. The song revolves around the theme of fresh beginnings, yet the persistence of the same old story. Haiden sings about running back to someone he cared for, “Fresh blood, but the same old story / You mess up and I find you another excuse / So who’s hurting who?”

“I honestly never expected “Fresh Blood” to resonate with so many people because it was, by far, the hardest song to write and record on the project,” Haiden said. “I rewrote it 4 times before landing on the final version, so by the time we finished it, I was sick of the sound of my voice.”

“Fresh Blood” is undeniably pop, featuring a catchy chorus that invites listeners on a relatable journey where he explores toxicity in relationships with self-discovery.

Haiden is set to headline two shows next month. He will perform at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, NY, on Feb. 15 and the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, CA, on Feb. 29. Purchase tickets here.
