The Midland Affair Share Music Industry Woes with “Do You Hear Me Now”

Date:

Alternative rock band The Midland Affair, release “Do You Hear Me Now” ahead of their upcoming debut album Genesis, set for release this summer.

The single follows last month’s debut “Stay Kind, Rewind” via Native Analog Records. Carter Luera (vocals/bass), Sal Castro (vocals, guitar) and Jordan Owens (drums) joined forces in Sulphur Springs, TX just last summer.

The new single is a post-punk inspired indie rock song that chronicles the plight of the musician. “The countless hours spent at night, losing sleep, and then getting up for your day job that pays the bills. And really, anyone involved in the music business could possibly relate. It is a lot of work with little monetary gain for most,” says Luera. “The song is ultimately about sticking to the belief and pushing through the hard times in the career of a musician.”
