Nina Luna returns with road trip vibes in new release “Wish You Were Here”

Date:

Nina Luna is a singer-songwriter with her roots intertwined in the mystery of New England hills and nurtured by the spirit of the North Country in Minneapolis. Her musical journey, marked by the bright lights of New York and the dive bars of Los Angeles, has culminated in the release of a 6-song EP titled Wish You Were Here.

Nina Luna’s music takes inspiration from the threads of her life, a life lived in multiple cities, each leaving an indelible mark on her artistic soul. The EP is a representation of the unique influence these places have had on her, creating a sound that is a harmonious blend of natural mysticism, sacred sensuality, and a fiery edge that defines her as a shape-shifting force.

Her lyrics, honest and vulnerable, lay bare the emotions of a life well-lived, while the production is often cinematic and otherworldly. Much like the elements she draws inspiration from, Nina Luna is an artist who defies easy definition and it is precisely this captivating elusiveness that keeps fans returning for more.

The title track, “Wish You Were Here”, echoes a road trip through the corridors of Nina Luna’s mind. It was inspired by a cross-country journey from Minneapolis to Los Angeles and back. She was fascinated by the ability to drive for ten hours, immersed in her own thoughts and daydreams.

The production of the title track carries a bit of a rock ‘n’ roll edge, featuring electric guitar riffs and live drum kit sounds. Yet, at its core, it remains a pop song— Nina Luna’s signature sound.

Currently based in Minneapolis, she frequently graces the stage with her backing band, delivering high-energy performances. So if you’re in the area, make sure you catch her live!
