Novul stands out from the crowd with electro-pop single “Diamond in a Haystack”.
Working together with Grammy-nominated producer Emile Ghantous, the pair pays homage to Novul’s prairie village upbringing.
Ghantous DMed Novul to collaborate after hearing “BIG & RICH” and together the pair developed the messaging of the song.
“We started the session off with me sharing my whole story, how I grew up in a small prairie village in Saskatchewan, Canada, population of 495 people. How I always felt different living there, like a diamond in a haystack, never truly fitting in. He was like ‘that’s it!’ – and we instantly started writing. The song is about going back to your home town and reconnecting with that special someone you’ve known your whole life and thinking back on those memories.”
The electro-pop track not only talks about how Novul is a diamond in a haystack of her prairie village, but also the song is a standout among the sea of new pop songs. The singer has amassed over 5.5 million views on TikTok and is continuing to catch the attention of big hitters like Pharrell and gracing billboards around LA.
