Three Days Grace and Chevelle Co-Headline Nashville

On Tuesday October 10, 2023 fans packed Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee as Three Days Grace and Chevelle brought their Co-headlining tour to music city. Alongside these legendary bands support for this tour included heavy metal band Loathe. As the night began the anticipation could be felt throughout the iconic venue as fans from all over the surrounding states were loading in by the dozens to see what was in store for Nashville.

Opening up the night was English heavy metal band Loathe. Formed in 2014 out of Liverpool, UK Loathe has been known for their mix of clean and unclean vocals as well as their heavy metal, nu metal, and shoegaze vibes. Vocalist, Kadeem France, provided fans with insane energy, and unmatchable stage presence. Alongside France, backing vocalist Erik Bickerstaffe contributes to the beautiful melodies and clean vocals that leaves fans in awe. Performing a total of 6 songs during their set, Loathe played “Aggressive Evolution,” “Screaming,” “Is It Really You?,” and closed out the night with “Gored.” With three studio albums released to date, the most recent in 2021 entitled The Things They Believe more is expected from this popular up and coming band.

Second band of the night is world renowned band Chevelle. Formed in 1995 out of Grayslake, Illinois this American rock band has produced a total of nine studio albums, the most recent in 2021 entitled NIRATIAS. Vocalist, Pete Loeffler, walked onto the stage and immediately got to work. Fans stood in complete shock as Loeffler performed his heart out to “Verruckt” During their sixteen song set Chevelle performed several fan favorites including “Face to the Floor,” “The Clincher,” “Comfortable Liar,” “The Red,” and closed out the set with “Mars Simula.” With musical influences such as Tool, Depeche Mode, The Cure, and Helmet they have really made a unique sound of their own that has attracted fans both young and old to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. As the set finishes fans chanted for Chevelle, however it was time for the headliner to take stage, and they were ready.

Formed in 1992 under the name Groundswell before disbanding in 1995, and regrouping in 1997 as what is now known as Three Days Grace. As vocalist Matt Walst, burst onto the stage with electric energy the entire auditorium went wild. The four piece band provided fans with a insane riffs, gravely vocals, and allowed fans to sing a long while they admired the crowd. Releasing 7 studio albums to date the most recent in 2022 entitled Explosions Three Days Grace performed a fifteen song set which included “So Called Life,” “Pain,” “I Am Machine,” “Painkiller,” and closed out with a three song special featuring special guest and former lead vocalist Adam Gontier as they performed “I Hate Everything About You,” “Never Too Late,” and “Riot.” As fans saw Gontier walk onto the stage a ear deafening roar took over the arena, fans were crying, chanting, and screaming it was truly a beautiful experience, and one we will not soon forget.

This iconic tour began on September 8th in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and hit several major cities including Chicago, Denver, Phoenix, and Atlanta before finishing up on October 14th in Boston.
