Texas based, Grrrltoy released a powerful hit today entitled “Dog.” (heavy version). Originally written and recorded as a solo project by Rhyma Castillo in 2022, “Dog.”(heavy version) is Castillo’s revision of the song with a full band backing her.

What started as a solo act in 2022, has since expanded into a five piece band destined for success. Inspired by classic and grunge rock legends such as PJ HarveyTina TurnerJanis JoplinLed Zeppelin, and Joan Jett ,Grrrltoy has quickly became known for their addictive lyrics, powerful melodies, and the passion behind the performance. Inspired by true events “Dog.” (heavy version) is a delightfully cheeky yet heart-wrenchingly earnest song about taking your time and energy back from someone who wasted it, something we all can relate to in some form or fashion.
