Fresh off of their critically acclaimed new album ‘Nosebleeds’ release, MisterWives hit the road with Bishop Briggs on their co-headline ‘Don’t Look Down’ tour. Every time they come to Boston MisterWives always puts on their best show of tour. Something about their Boston shows are so special and that was the case for this show as well.
The band had just released their newest album ‘Nosebleeds’ back on July 17th to so much love from their fans and new fans alike. The album was a bit of a change from their 2020 album ‘SUPERBLOOM’ which was also a masterpiece. ‘Nosebleeds’ brings a heavier and raw sound to the album with lots of punchy guitars and hard hitting lyrics. Lead singer Mandy Lee is a genius when it comes to songwriting and she truly went off on this album, writing some of the most heart wrenching songs backed by beautiful productions (thanks to drummer Etienne Bowler for the production on the album). It’s a masterpiece of an album and fans were truly in for a treat getting to hear these songs live for the first time.
Myself, along with the thousands of fans at the venue were excited to see what was in store for the night. This tour was a co-headline with Bishop Briggs who also put on such a fascinating show that night. MisterWives took the second slot in Boston and got the night off to a stellar start. The magic of a MisterWives show is like no other and everyone in attendance was more than thrilled with their performance. Playing mostly songs off of ‘Nosebleeds’ , with some from ‘SUPERBLOOM’ and ‘Our Own House’. The band kept the energy going all throughout their set and had the crowd going absolutely nuts for them. You just had to be there to witness their greatness. It was such a memorable show and one we had such an incredible time at.
