Surf Mesa teams up with Griff Clawson on “Run”

Date:

Over the years, Surf Mesa has been very kind to us with his “music for good feels,” as he so describes. After dropping the 2x Platinum “ily (i love you baby)” in 2019, he has been on a roll with hits like “Somewhere,” “Carried Away,” and recent releases “City Of Love,” and “First Time.” His plans are always to make people “feel better about their day,” and he achieves this through the use of electronic and organic components in his music, taking listeners to infinite spaces with endless possibilities. In the fall, he plans on releasing Come True, an EP that will incorporate these enriched soundscapes into one smooth, irresistible project. As we patiently wait for Come True, Surf Mesa is dropping “Run” from the EP.

Containing that infinite feeling featured on Surf Mesa’s previous releases, “Run” highlights what Surf Mesa does best. Mixing synthy skitters with house beats, he creates an environment that lends itself to dance and relaxation. The house energy that builds throughout the track is supported by lines like, “All I wanna do is run from the good ones / All I wanna do is run, run, run, run,” which are brought to us by Griff Clawson. Assisted by Nick Henriques (Tiësto, Galantis), Surf Mesa and Griff have created what will surely be a highlight on the EP. You can check it out in the visualizer below.

About “Run,” Surf Mesa shares,

“The track ‘Run’ off my upcoming EP ‘Come True’ is one of my favorites. I’ve been diligently working on this unreleased track, and it’s been a deeply personal project for me. I’m excited to share it with you. This song represents a significant chapter in my musical journey, and I believe it will resonate with you in a profound way.”

You can listen to “Run” on platforms like SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Surf Mesa has a string of exciting shows lined up for the fall. On October 26, he will perform at Alchemy in Raleigh, North Carolina before heading to California on October 28. There, he will join The Chainsmokers, Two Friends, and DJ Press Play at the Shoreline Amphitheatre for ‘The Party Never Ends.’ After that, he heads to Cabo San Lucas for ‘Tiesto: Chasing Sunsets 2023’ on November 9.
