Landon Barker has released his debut track “Friends With Your EX” and signed with DTA Records, marking an exciting chapter in the pop-punk scene. Known for his fiery guitars, gritty vocals, and fashion sense, Landon brings a fresh Gen-Z perspective to the punk genre.
Landon’s music has been heavily influenced by his father, Travis Barker, a pivotal figure in the pop-punk world as a member of blink-182. Over time, the allure of rock ‘n’ roll became undeniable and he collaborated with his father on a cover of the Misfits’ classic “Skulls” in 2020.
His breakthrough came with a collaboration alongside Machine Gun Kelly on “die in california” from the 2022 album Mainstream Sellout, which not only topped the Billboard 200 but also earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination. Landon also made waves in the world of film, appearing in the viral sensation “Downfalls High” and sharing the stage with MGK at Madison Square Garden.
Even before officially releasing his solo music, Landon’s headline gig at the iconic Roxy on the Sunset Strip sold out. Now, in 2023, he’s poised to take the spotlight with a series of singles on DTA Records. His debut single, “Friends With Your EX,” sets the stage for what’s to come.
To accompany the release of “Friends With Your EX,” Landon dropped an official music video directed by Chris Villa. The video features Landon alongside his superstar girlfriend, Charli D’Amelio, and includes guest appearances from notable figures like Joe Chavez, Michael Tua, Chazdon Jeffery, Carl Dawson, and Zack Lugo. With Travis Barker producing the track and playing the drums, the song captures the essence of Landon’s signature sound. The chorus reveals the track’s essence: “I was friends with your ex. You were with him when we met. Guess he hasn’t found out yet, but I know he’s gonna kill me when he sees me with you.”
