Armed with cosigns from Royal BloodYeah Yeah Yeahs, and Beck, we’re here to introduce you to Britain’s next great rock band: the teenage powerhouse trio of HotWax. Today, the up-and-coming group announced their sophomore EP Invite Me, Kindly with the heart-racing single “Phone Machine”. The EP will be released via Marathon Artists on October 18, and it was mixed by legendary producer Alan Moulder (Foo Fighters, Wet Leg, Arctic Monkeys).

“Phone Machine” radiates with an electrifying energy that’s equal parts grunge idolatry (the guitars are straight out of the Seattle’s 90s scene) and zesty, irreverent rock and roll. Lead singer Tallulah Sim-Savage is an engrossing frontwoman — when the anthemic chorus hits alongside a ghostly synth melody, you feel like you’re listening to this generation’s Wolf Alice with a rarefied air surrounding these teens. Watch the video for “Phone Machine” below, and check out their dates supporting Royal Blood in the US this fall.
