bby are suspicious of that “money body” on new single

Date:

There is still plenty of time to make contact with indie band bby if you happened to miss their call last month. The East London-based group dropped their debut single “hotline” in the beginning of August, eager to let fans into their vibrant world. Along with the track, they released a DIY-style music video that highlighted the importance of connecting with others. In the video, we watch as the band host a fan hang out in their East London headquarters, smiling and getting swept away with the fun-loving energy of the crowd. If you are ready to immerse yourself further into this world, you are in luck, as bby give us their follow-up single “money body.”

A sister single in many ways, “money body” is within the flirty and fun realm of “hotline.” Throughout the track, we learn about someone who is rocking that “money body” and using it well. Over the retro sounds coming from the guitar riffs, we hear through quiet vocals, “She said, hey I know you got some money / Spend your money on me / Yeah I know you like this body / But this body ain’t free.” It is clear this girl is on a mission, and with her “ring light” and “new projector,” she is ready to conquer. You can check it out below.

Having just performed at Leeds Festival and All Points East with HAIM and The Strokes, the band is making their rounds and building their connections. They have received support from the likes of NME and DIY, along with their new fans of Travis Mills, Matt Wilkinson, and Zane Lowe over at Apple Radio. Additionally, other listeners across the US are surrendering to the sweet sounds of bby, as “hotline” is currently sitting at #9 on the alt-radio charts. For those wanting to make an in-person connection with the band, though, more hang sessions will be held at their headquarters – keep checking their IG for updates.

You can check out “money body” on platforms like Apple Music, SoundCloud, and Spotify.
