B00sted teams up with Myles Lloyd on “Used To Love You”

Date:

When a relationship comes to an end, it can be strange to think back to when it first started. To think of how in love you were with that person, how exciting it was to build a relationship… It is natural to mourn what used to be, and natural to try to place how you got to this point. You may think about how you used to love that person so much, which is exactly what B00sted does on his latest single.

On “Used To Love You,” the Vancouver artist teams up with the Montreal-based R&B artist Myles Lloyd for a track that dives into those sketchy moments when it seems like a partner is losing interest. Even though it’s about the end of a relationship, it has a fresh vibe that dampens some of the pain. Over skittering beats and a lovely melodic riff that floats atop everything, B00sted and Myles share how they feel. B00sted drops lines like, “You really got me thinking in the worst way / Putting you first in the first place / Got me steady drinking on a Thursday,” before admitting, “I used to love you.” Myles, on the other hand, sings, “We all alone now / I’m in control now / Lemme show you how I do this shit,” wanting his partner to call the other guy and say, “I used to love you.” You can check it out below.

About “Used To Love You,” B00sted explains,

“‘Used To Love You (feat. Myles Lloyd)” is a song about the feelings you may face when getting out of a relationship with someone. I talk about the anxiety you may feel when your partner starts acting more distant from you – ‘Late night texts and you don’t reply / Got me overthinking everything alright.” You try talking to this person, but all they do is end up ignoring you.”

You can listen to “Used To Love You (feat. Myles Lloyd)” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
