Date:

dayaway, the enchanting indie-pop collaboration of Amber Renee and Graham Marsh (CLAVVS), has just unveiled exciting news about their forthcoming EP, blue summer moon, set to be released on August 30, coinciding with the rare occurrence of a blue moon. The EP is a compilation of songs that beautifully narrate a tale of love and loss, with each track representing a distinct phase within that narrative.

dayaway presents their latest single, “a brief dream of sun,” accompanied by an engaging lyric video. This track follows “i wish,” which quickly made its mark by debuting at an impressive #14 on the sub-modern chart. The track received tremendous support from renowned platforms like KCRW and more.

“a brief dream of sun” opens with a burst of energy, instantly grabbing your attention with vibrant guitars, creating a feel good sound of joyful vibes. The track paints a vivid picture of basking in the warmth of the sun, feeling its embrace as it illuminates life’s journey. The lyrics beautifully capture the essence of appreciating the small joys that make life meaningful, inspiring the listener to find their own moments of radiance.

Amber reflects on the track’s conception, writing: “‘a brief dream of sun’ is the song I’m most proud to have written. Graham and I both agree that it’s our favorite song we’ve made together in quite some time. we’ve always been inspired by psychedelia, so it was really rewarding to explore this sonic space and push the boundaries of dayaway into something a bit darker and acid washed.”

Last year, dayaway captivated listeners with their self-titled debut EP, which featured standout singles like “cool water,” featured on ABC’s A Million Little Things and has accumulated an impressive 5 million-plus streams across all major platforms.
