Singer songwriter Ian McFarland is back with his newest single titled “Cheddar.” Not only is this song catchy and guaranteed to be stuck in your head all day, it also will leave you contemplating a very important question, What’s your favorite kind of cheese?
McFarland has released two full length releases with the third in the works. Performing all over the US with other bands, he decided to take a leap and go solo under his own name in 2015. He is proving himself to be a master at music as he plays multiple instruments including guitar, bass, keys, drums, violin and several others.
Throughout “Cheddar” you can hear a variety of genres seamlessly mixed into one flawless hit. McFarland really shows us his ability to write something so witty and clever that will leave you captivated as you try to wrap your mind around what is “Cheddar” really about. Lyrically you can sense the determination McFarland has for making his way to the top no matter the cost. During this almost three minute song, you are taken on a journey of losing someone close to you, but allowing it for the sake of reaching your way to the top, hard work, and with a cow costume thrown into the mix, honestly what more could we ask for?
