Indie-pop artist Spencer Sutherland brought “The In His Mania” tour to NYC’s Irving Plaza on April 14th.
Born in Ohio and now residing in Los Angeles, Spencer first gained fame as a contestant on the UK show The X Factor. Since then, Spencer has paved his way in the industry as an artist you cannot miss.
Stepping through a giant star as he took the stage, Spencer opened his set with tracks “Everybody” and “Jealousy” from his debut album In His Mania which was released in March. Spencer’s stage presence was unmatched as the audience fed off of his energy as he continued with older tracks “Tell Me,” “Paranoia,” and “Wonder” as well as “B!tch,” “Cry,” “Strange Feeling,” and “Flower” from In His Mania.
The audience erupted into a sing along as Spencer covered Elton John’s “Bennie and the Jets” before performing unreleased track “Chicken Little.” Everyone continued to sing along to “Sweater” before Spencer closed his set with “Outrun The Feeling.”
Spencer didn’t leave fans for long as he re-took the stage in a custom knitted “In His Mania” vest that he proudly showed off to the crowd before closing with “Out of Love” and “Outer Space.”
