Grammy-nominated artist Maggie Rogers announced she will be back on tour this summer, after just wrapping The Feral Joy Tour in San Francisco, CA in early March 2023. Only this time, fans will be able to purchase tickets in person at their local box office for one day only, on Friday, April 7th, 2023* at 10 AM local time.
“There’s a lot of conversation right now about combatting bots and making sure tickets get directly into the hands of fans, and at a reasonable price,” Rogers tweeted on Thursday, April 6. After the Ticketmaster debacle during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour presale and the Senate hearings that followed, this marks another effort to combat Ticketmaster’s oppressive fees. “Ticketing fees have never been higher and a lot of people, me included, are justifiably frustrated and concerned,” she said.
The Summer of ’23 Tour includes 17 dates in the US and Canada from July to August, featuring opening acts Soccer Mommy and Alvvays. Fans can purchase up to 2 tickets each in any tier at their local box office, however supply is limited. Following the physical sale, several online presales will take place next week, from Tuesday, April 11th to Friday, April 14th. Rogers will be selling tickets herself at the at the Music Hall of Williamsburg presale in Brooklyn, NY for the show in Forest Hills, NY.
Rogers is set to perform a number of festivals along with the Summer of ’23 Tour, including Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. Rogers will be hitting the road nearly one year after releasing her sophomore album, Surrender, a refreshing pop record well-received among critics and one that’s sure to continue driving crowds to her shows this summer, along with her commitment to helping fans receive tickets fairly and at an affordable price.
Rogers tweeted, “It’s not perfect, but the moral of the story is that we’re going to try our best.”
