I Prevail brings True Power tour to Nashville

November 13, 2022 I Prevail  brought the True Power tour to Marathon Music Works in Nashville, Tennesee. Supporting acts for this tour included Stand AtlanticFit For A King, and Pierce the Veil. This sold out show had insane energy, mosh pits, and people of all ages rushing in to see these amazing bands.

First band of the night was Stand Atlantic this alternative/indie rock band had the crowd on their feet from the moment they came on the stage. Formed in 2012 in Sydney, Australia Stand Atlantic has produced 3 studio albums, and is currently nominated for Australian Album of the year for “ F.E.A.R.” Vocalist Bonnie Fraser, performed flawlessly and kept the energy up amongst the crowd, at one point the band even asked Nashville to “Boo them off the stage” to throw off the other bands backstage, which had everyone laughing and fully engaged in what they had to offer. Opening with song “Hate Me(Sometimes)” and closing out with song “Molotov,” Stand Atlantic really showed up and showed out during their 35 minute set.

Next supporting act of the night was metalcore band Fit For A King. FFAK was formed in 2007 in Tyler, Texas and is most known for their songs “The Price of Agony,” “When Everything Means Nothing,” and “Times Like This.”  This five piece band has produced seven studio albums, two EP’s and twenty music videos. Vocalist, Ryan Kirby, brought his growling screams along with beautiful melodies and had the crowd wanting more with each song. Playing for approximately 45 minutes, FFAT opened with “Eyes Roll Back,” and closed out with “ God of Fire.” With just under 1million monthly listeners on Spotify, and approx 200k Instagram followers FFAK was an awesome addition to the True Power tour.

Next up of the night was iconic band Pierce the VeilFormed in 2006 in San Diego, California Pierce the Veil was an absolute powerhouse. Fans went wild as soon as the music began playing, screams filled the venue and the mosh pits ramped up. This Post hardcore band has produced four studio albums, with one releasing in 2023. During their 55 minute set, they played songs “ May These Noises Startle You in Your Sleep Tonight,” “Pass the Nirvana” and closed out with fan favorite “King for a Day” which sent the crowd into a total frenzy. Pierce the Veil has previously toured with I Prevail, as well as A Day to Remember, Chiodos, All Time Low, and Sleeping With Sirens.  This bands energy was unlike any other, from running across the stage, to jumping up and down, Pierce the Veil did not stop from start to finish . At the end of the set, vocalist Vic Fuentes, thanked Nashville for having them back, and expressed how much they love playing in our city, as well as hyped the crowd up for the final act of the night, headliner I Prevail.

And last of the night is headliner I Prevail, fans rushed the floor as soon as the lights dimmed, the crowd was electric, and you could feel the excitement and anticipation of everyone in the venue during this sold out show. Formed in 2013 in Michigan, I prevail has produced 3 studio albums. Their first album titled “Lifelines” was released shortly after their 2014 cover of  Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.” This 5 piece band has 3.7 million monthly Spotify listeners and even more fans from all over the world. Vocalists Brian Burkheiser and Eric Vanlerberghe rushed the stage as soon as the music started, and left no time for fans to anticipate their arrival any longer. Fans screamed every word to the 15 song set list, and did not skip a beat. Opening with song “There’s Fear in Letting Go,” they also played “Hurricane,” “Scars,” “Fake,” and closed out with a two song encore that included “Gasoline,” and “Bow Down.” I Prevail has produced 22 music videos, and won Hard Rock Song of the Year in 2017 for “ Alone.” There is no doubt in saying they will not be slowing down anytime soon. The True Power tour began on September 9,2022 in New Jersey, and finishes up on November 22,2022 in Michigan.
