Local Nashville band Good News for Modern Man brought the heat to Springwater Supper Club and Lounge  in Nashville, Tennessee on October 6,2022 the second time this band has performed at the states oldest bar. This indie rock band has taken Nashville by storm over the last few months, with their very first show being June 7th, 2022, however their emotion, power, and communication would make you think they have been performing together for years. This three piece band consists of Jackson Shockley  on vocals and guitar, Zac Nelson on bass, and Michael Schumacher  on drums.  They have released one single titled “Everything is Fine” on May 24,2022 with  album ideas in the work for the near future. When asked some of their musicial influences  Good News for Modern Man said they are inspired by: The Beatles, Nirvana, R.E.M, The Replacements, Husker Du, and Wilco. With one of their biggest influences and dream collaborations being with Jeff Tweedy of Wilco. Good News played an approximate 30 minute set, and had a ton of positive feedback following the performance by both the other bands, and attendees.

The set list included

  • Greta
  • Sometimes
  • It All Feels Real This time
  • More Often
  • The Noise
  • Body/Saw
  • All I Want
  • Everything is Fine
  • New Song (Stan)

Although you may have missed this memorable show at Springwater Supper Club, the “good news” is you can still catch them at their next show in the Nashville and surrounding areas, because the journey for this high energy trio has only just begun
