Growing up around music, Toronto pop artist noelle was inspired to create songs that were as meaningful as the ones she took in on a daily basis. She began posting covers on YouTube at a young age, putting her own spin on songs like Adele’s “Hello,” Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” and John Legend’s “All of Me.” Her fanbase started to grow from there, reaching over 94K subscribers on the platform and over 4M streams on music sites. Taking her artistry to the next level, noelle is sharing the 80s-inspired “Cold Killer,” which brings with it a message of female empowerment.
With “Cold Killer,” noelle calls out all the heartbreakers. To a brisk beat that screams 80s-style aerobics class, noelle sings, “I never should’ve trusted you / I never should’ve laid my heart on the line” and “To you it’s just another game / Cross another heart off of your list.” Her vengeful vocals soar in the choruses where she claims, “You’re a cold killer, looking for a heart to break.” You can check it out below.
Giving us more insight, noelle explains,
“‘Cold Killer’ tells a story that is unfortunately relatable for a lot of people. It’s about boys that run around breaking hearts with no remorse. I’ve been through my fair share of heartache and wanted to write an anthem for everyone that’s been screwed over by someone they thought they could trust.”
On October 2, noelle will be taking part in “Cold Killer Burnout” classes hosted by SPINCO in Leslieville in Canada. Old and new riders are invited to join in any of the four classes occurring throughout the day, leading to a chance to win a $500 shopping spree at Lululemon and a three-month membership to SPINCO. All proceeds will be donated to the Native Women’s Association of Canada. You can reserve your seat here.
You can listen to “Cold Killer” on platforms like Apple Music, SoundCloud, and Spotify.
