Tessa Violet shines bright at a sold out show in Boston

Date:

Tessa Violet made a stop in Boston for a sold out show at The Sinclair as part of her Rise of the Phoenix tour. It was a magical night full of all the excitement and all the outfit changes you could imagine. If you weren’t there you were simply missing out. But don’t worry we have a recap of the night for you. It was a very sold out night and you could feel the energy of the crowd the moment the doors opened. People were chanting “Tessa” in excitement. But before Tessa came to grace the stage we were graced by the two openers of the night, Daysormay and Will Joseph Cook. They really got the crowd up and off their feet and they were loving every minute of it.

It was finally time for Tessa to strut her way onto the stage to a room full of eager fans. But not before the SpongeBob Square pants theme song would play to a joyous laugh from the crowd. Then out came Tessa with her bright yellow hair to the roar of the crowd. She opened up with “Yes Mom”. It was quite the setlist for the night. Tessa played a great variety of songs from her album Bad Ideas , as well as a few new songs like “Bad Bitch” which is such a powerful song and had the crowd going nuts. She proclaimed her appreciation for the Boston crowd for selling out The Sinclair for the first time for her. She even did a bit in the show where she looked out in the crowd for a person who was dressed the best and whoever it was was gifted free merch which was really cool and unique to see. Tessa really knows how to put on a show and make it a unique experience for everyone there. Speaking of unique, during her hit “Crush” she had bubbles flying everywhere and it was such a spectacular thing to see. More people need to have bubbles at their shows just saying.

Not only did Tessa have bubbles and play all of her classic songs, but she also played some covers as well. She had daysormay come back out to sing “Role Model” together and it was a sweet moment. The cover of “Smoke Signals” which is both Tessa and Cavetowns’ song was sung so beautifully and had the crowd swaying along. There was another beautiful moment during the show where fan made hearts were held up during “Kitchen Song” which almost brought Tessa to tears. To top off an already amazing night Tessa came back out for an encore of covers to the crowds surprise. She rocked two covers of “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World and “American Idiot” by Green Day. It was such a stellar way to end the night and one that soon won’t be forgotten. You definitely don’t want to miss out on seeing Tessa on this tour. There are only a few dates left so make sure to check out info on tour here!
