On August 5th, dwi released an upbeat new single, “Party4One”. With inspirations spanning from Radiohead to Twenty One Pilots, this song has a perfect modern post-grunge sound with a hint of pop-punk. The track starts off with a lively mix of crunchy and groovy guitars before dwi’s quirky and unique voice comes in and knocks you off your feet with his upbeat lyrics about celebrating being a loner. “Party4One” is a blast, with its contagious groove, other-worldly bass lines, crisp drum beats and mind-bending synths.
The artist, who is also the bassist for Canadian alternative band The Zolas, explains the feeling this song gives him as ” having cabin fever and losing touch with reality, all the while you’re falling in love with yourself, which isn’t that bad of a place to be really.” He calls on all the loners with lyrics that anyone can relate to: “Nothing can stop me/ I’m living in a single player game/ Oh you can’t stop me/ You can’t stop me/ It’s a party for one.”
