Julia Jacklin angelically sang the night away at the Basement East

Date:

Julia Jacklin started her show by walking on stage with her beautiful presence, which sent the audience immediately into a mystic trance. The room was full way before she entered the room, antsy for her enchanting sound. In between songs she had the room roaring with laughter from tour stop bits. She narrated her planned setlist, leaving the audience in no surprise, yet it was helplessly breathtaking. She dived into her struggles of grasping love, lacing each song with relatable vulnerability. Jacklin held the audiences’ emotions by her vocal cords’ fingertips, if you may, describing the fine line of being a woman and how the world can misinterpret the set out intentions. Overall she had a killer performance, leaving many with tears of joy.
