Pierce The Veil’s newest song, “Pass The Nirvana,” came out on September 1st, making it their first release since their 2016 album “Misadventures.” The San Diego band has finally come back and is currently working on their fifth studio album.
“Pass The Nirvana” is an angsty track filled with many strong build-ups, punchy guitar riffs, and lead singer Vic Fuente’s iconic high-pitched vocals. The song feels as if the band took inspiration from their old sound and mixed it with some new chord progressions, better production, and an overall modern feel.
Speaking on the single, Vic Fuentes stated: “Pass the Nirvana is about the many horrible traumas that the youth of America have endured over the past few years…COVID, no proms, no graduations, an insurrection, school shootings…” He adds; “To me, the song represents a euphoric detachment from all of that anxiety and stress and about finding some form of peace or nirvana.”
