Fionn release cheerful new video for “All Good”

Date:

At the end of last month, Vancouver pop duo Fionn dropped the psychedelic alt-rock tune “All Good.”  With enthusiastic guitar riffs and intoxicating lyrics, it differed from their previous folk-pop single “Picnic on the Moon,” which found the duo returning to their singer-songwriter roots.  Still, “All Good” continued to display the mature sound heard on “Picnic on the Moon,” a sound that mixed the fiery persona from previous records with the established attitude they have adapted on newer singles.  As they continue to take on a more individualized style, Fionn are giving us a cheerful video for “All Good.”

In the video below, we watch as Alanna and Brianne struggle to find motivation in their roles as cheerleaders.  They are caught hanging out in the dugout, sunbathing on the field, and half-heartedly waving their pom-poms as their vigilant coach looks on.  Who exactly are they rooting for?  We have no idea, but in the end, the girls ditch the pom-poms for instruments and continue to perform the single in style.

Giving us more details on the track, Fionn share,

“‘All Good’ is a psychedelic depiction of our first times crushing on girls.  We’ve never released a song talking about this side of ourselves, but knew immediately what we wanted to say the first time we heard Kevvy Maher play the opening guitar riff.  We wanted the lyrics to be trippy to depict the feeling of falling for people we didn’t know we were able to have feelings for, and the crazy infatuation that came along with those experiences.

You can listen to “All Good” on platforms like Apple Music, SoundCloud, and Spotify.
