Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts release “Ballad Of A Misspent Youth” from upcoming album

Date:

The timing was a little off for American rock band Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts, who released their debut single, “What Kinda Love,” in January of 2020.  Along with the single, the band announced that they would be opening up for Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard on The Stadium Tour later that year, which would have been quite the show.  Yet, we all know any and all plans for tours in 2020 went out the window due to COVID-19.  However, the time was well spent for frontman and former Biters vocalist Tuk Smith, who ended up creating new material.  The result is the band’s upcoming album, Ballad Of A Misspent Youth, which will be released later this year.  Giving us a taste of the new album, Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts are sharing its first single in the form of the title track.

Containing pompous choruses, electrifying guitar riffs, and a fearless spirit, “Ballad Of A Misspent Youth” reintroduces old school rock ‘n roll to the next generation.  Channeling the angst and invincible spirit of teens and adolescents, Tuk sings, “You’re living on borrowed time / You’re too young to die / You’re too fast to lose,” his salient rock vocals giving us life.  You can check it all out in the video below.

Telling us more about the inspiration behind the track, Tuk shares,

“It’s a by-product of my upbringing in the South when I was cutting my teeth in the underground Atlanta punk scene before touring for a decade in the clubs and dives.”

You can listen to “Ballad Of A Misspent Youth” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
