Teigen Gayse releases charming video for “Messed Up”

Date:

Driven by a passion to create, Teigen Gayse immersed herself in the singer-songwriter world at 13 when she picked up her first guitar.  From there, the Métis country artist pursued a degree in audio engineering before making moves as a full-time musician.  Along the way, she has tapped into a sound that has brought in a lot of excited fans across multiple platforms, making Teigen an artist to watch.  Her 2021 singles “Blame The Wine” and “I Don’t Want To Fall In Love Anymore” even made their way onto the Top 40 charts, with “I Don’t Want To Fall In Love Anymore” hitting #43 on the Billboard Country Music charts and also amassing nearly 3 million views on TikTok.

Earlier this year, Teigen followed up such successful singles with “Messed Up,” which already has 160k streams.  A fun summer anthem that tackles the intoxicating aspects of a crush or a new love interest, “Messed Up” definitely radiates a good time.  In the new video for the song, Teigen flawlessly channels this awkward yet beautiful energy, and brings the story to life.  We see her in a bar, trying to hold it together as she sings lines like “I don’t know what to do / I can’t stop thinking ‘bout you / I’m just a little messed up.”  Complete with shiny dresses, pink and blue mood lighting, and encouraging bar-goers, the video is not one to miss.  You can check it out below.

About the video, Teigen shares,

“I had such a great time making the video for ‘Messed Up’ with my friends in Kelowna, BC.  We really wanted to keep the vibe fun and upbeat.  Our director, Kayla, was brilliant using the light and dark contrasts at Jack’s, where it was filmed.  The venue was a great canvas for the video!”

You can listen to “Messed Up” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
