The Interrupters spread the love on “As We Live”

Date:

We are getting very close to the release of In The Wild from The Interrupters.  The new album contains 14 tracks that were recorded during lockdown a couple of years ago, when everything we thought we knew about life was turned upside-down.  We have already heard three of these new tracks, “In The Mirror,” “Anything Was Better,” and “Jailbird,” which revealed some of the more personal thoughts and feelings from lead vocalist Aimee Interrupter during this time.  With just a couple of weeks until In The Wild makes its official debut, The Interrupters are giving us another single from the sweeping album in the form of “As We Live.”

A celebratory ska track featuring spirited rhythms and animated horns, “As We Live” focuses on the importance of love.  Throughout the track, we get reminders about doing all you can with the love you have with lines like, “As we live / This is the time to love” and “This is the time to love / Seize the day, don’t wait for a sign from above.”  The joyous production is made all the more complete with Tim Armstrong and Rhoda Dakar, who provide guest vocals.  You can check it out below.

About “As We Live,” Aimee shares,

“Love is the fuel for everything beautiful in the world.  Love should be approached with urgency, and that’s what we are trying to capture with this song.  It is truly humbling to have musical legends Tim Armstrong and Rhoda Dakar co-writing and singing this one with us.”

You can listen to “As We Live” on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud.
