Norman Alexander packs an emotional punch on ballad, “The Reason”

Date:

Normal Alexander started making waves when he began performing in 2020. Since then he has worked with three-time Grammy award winner Randy Merrill, performed at Manhattan’s annual Spring TEDxWaterStreet event, and has made connections with numerous prominent figures in the music industry. His latest single, “The Reason,” makes it easy to see why.

The song begins with a soft piano and the sound of a ringing phone before Alexander’s powerful vocal is introduced: “I’m embarrassed/ Look what I’ve done, so much damage/ I’m hurting myself for your attention/ Now all of it’s taking a toll.” By the time the chorus hits right before the 1-minute mark the emotion is at a fever pitch, and it’s all carried in the artist’s soaring voice.

Reminiscent of artists such as Sam Smith and John Legend, there’s no question that Norman Alexander does a ballad just as well as some of today’s top musicians. There’s certainly a lot in store for this artist, and we’re excited to see what he does next.

Check out the song below.

You can listen to “The Reason” on platforms like Apple Music, Soundcloud, and Spotify.
