Julian Rose releases video for “How Deep”

Date:

Having grown up around artists like Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, it was almost inevitable that Julian Rose would become the singer-songwriter-rapper-producer that he is today.  His uncle was an essential part of the rise of the West Coast Rap scene, while his parents worked in the music video industry, bringing him to various sets and shoots when possible.  When Julian decided to pursue his own musical endeavors, he had nothing but support, as these creative forces more than encouraged him to carve his own path.  Sure enough, Julian’s music is original and daring, venturing outside standard genres and styles.

Last month, Julian dropped his debut EP, How Deep, containing three tracks that displayed his eclectic sound.  From the funky hues of “Movin On” to the touches of pop on “How Deep” and the rock edge of “Her Majesty,” Julian covers it all, not afraid to explore.  The release has already brought Julian up to over 75k streams and earned praise from the likes of PopWrapped and The Honey Pop.  Keeping the party going, Julian is giving fans a video for the title track.

Directed by Nathan Girard and edited by Shai Harary, the video brings the narrative heard on “How Deep” to life.  We see Julian exposing the highs and lows of a relationship, either lounging in bed with his girlfriend or fighting with her in the living room.  In between these scenes, Julian sings to the camera, putting his personality on full display.  You can check it out below.

You can listen to How Deep on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
