When looking back at Dan Davidson’s country music career so far, it is crazy to see all that he has accomplished in the past six years. He has had a slew of Top 40 songs across three genres, has worked on three Top 30 tracks in the rock and country genres as a producer, and became the founder and host of Canada’s first live digital music festival during the pandemic in 2020. More recently, Dan had a Top 10 hit in Australia, passed 1.5 million views on his YouTube channel, and has nearly 20 million streams worldwide. His latest EP, 6 Songs to Midnight, debuted at #1 on the Canadian iTunes Country charts, making Dan an undeniable force in the industry. Kicking off the next chapter of his career with a bang, Dan gives us the summer-friendly single “Warm Beer.”
An anthemic tune that embodies a good time, “Warm Beer” is a crafty look at rejection. Over a classic country production, Dan pokes some fun at the way he fails to get close with someone, listing the things this person would rather endure. He sings, “She’d rather have a warm beer poured into a dirty glass” and “She’d rather have a long hangover than let me put a ring on her hand,” before concluding, “She loves me like she loves warm beer.” You can check it out below.
About the track, Dan shares,
“This is the beer garden banger I’ve always wanted to release. It’s a little bit of Texas-style, drunken poet country and a little bit of that classic anthemic summer sing-along! I’m so proud of how clever and yet simple this one came out!”
You can listen to “Warm Beer” on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
