Last week, Valley, a Canadian-based indie-pop band, put on an electric show at The Basement East in Nashville, TN. At just about halfway through their “I’ll Be With You Tour,” Valley made a stop in Nashville, where they had never headlined before. Though the general consensus of the crowd was that the band would easily sell out the venue, Valley stood on stage feeling humbled and appreciative.
They kicked off their set with “Last Birthday,” the title track of their recent album. Since Last Birthday was released in 2021, Valley has seen exponential growth. The band then moved into their next handful of tracks, the crowd’s favorites being “Oh Shit… are we in love?” hiccup” and “homebody.” The band’s stage presence was like no other; The lead singer, Atlas, the keys player, Mickey, and the bass player, Alex, all danced with each other while Karah James, the other lead singer and drummer, bounced between her multiple roles on stage.
While the hours flew by & the night got late, the venue’s energy stayed at an all-time high. Valley ended their set with another crowd favorite “Like 1999.” With gratitude, Valley hugged each other on stage and left the crowd with smiles. Check out photos of the Valley below:
