I Dont Know How but They Found Me Rocks Boston on the Thought Reform Tour

Date:

On Monday February 6, about 2000 Bostonians braved single digit temperatures to pack a sold out Big Night Live and catch IDKHow on The Thought Reform Tour. Complete with a neon sign and some lavish plants along the stage, bassist/vocalist Dallon Weekes (who you may know from Panic! At The Disco) and drummer Ryan Seaman had the crowd rocking from start to finish.

You could feel the energy long before the set started with the front row guessing the set list and plenty of people with signs. By the time they hit the stage with “Leave Me Alone,” the lead track from their recent debut album RAZZMATAZZ, the crowd exploded. While Spotify (and others) may categorize IDKHow as emo or angsty alternative rock, the live experience felt much more accessible to a mainstream crowd than that description – especially Weekes’ voice. For a newish band, the setlist felt like that from a much more established group with hits like Absinthe and Do It All The Time. The duo plus a touring guitarist even had three covers, including Someday by The Strokes.

The Thought Reform Tour rolls on for the next two weeks across the country. IDKHow are a band that if you’re even a casual fan of their hits, you should check them out live. It’s enough to turn you into a true man and dig deeper into their work.
