Katy Perry and Alesso give fans everything they want with “When I’m Gone”

Date:

“You know, I think it’s just time to give them everything they want,” Katy Perry states in the beginning of the music video “When I’m Gone.”  Perry returns to her classic style with her sleek black hair and hypnotic dance moves for the futuristic track. She wanders through an industrial plant along with Swedish DJ Alesso and companioned by undeniably adorable robot dog.

The music video was debuted at the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship. This was the first time that ESPN has premiered a music video during a live broadcast.

“When it comes to my music videos we all know I like to push the boundaries and myself, and create unique opportunities for my fans to see them,” Perry says.

Within a week, “When I’m Gone” has accumulated over 10 million streams. View the music video below and check out Katy Perry’s Residency, where she will be performing in Las Vegas throughout January, February, and March.
