Get to know the two time Grammy-nominee Arlo Parks

Date:

Born in Hammersmith, West London, Arlo Parks was discovered by Ali Raymond of Beatnik Creative – who later became her manager. She released her first single “Cola” after which she signed a record deal with Transgressive Records and released her debut EP Super Sad Generation.

On January 29th, 2021, Arlo Parks released her debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams which won the Hyundai Mercury Prize for album of the year! Collapsed In Sunbeams is a beautiful work of art sharing powerful messages through poetic lyrics, exploring themes like mental health and relationships delivered through a neo-soul/r&b sound.

Her single “Hope”, about depression and friendship, reminds everyone that there is a light at the end of the tunnel as she sings “You’re not alone like you think you are/We all have scars, I know it’s hard”.

Parks just earned herself two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album for Collapsed In Sunbeams.

She will be joining Clairo on tour in North America as well as Billie Eilish in the UK.
