Get to know the ‘Know-It-All’, Alessia Cara

Alessia Cara is well known for her songs “Here” and “Scars To Your Beautiful”.  After the success of her debut album Know-It-All, the Brampton-Native collaborated with rapper Logic and Khalid on  “1-800-273-8255” which has been critically acclaimed as this song is named after the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and delivers a message of hope. Following the release of the song, the Canadian was nominated for four Grammy Awards, taking home the Best New Artist award in 2018.

Cara has released on November 30th, 2018 her sophomore album The Pains Of Growing. It is a very personal record where the singer-songwriter talks about experience with anxiety, depression and heartbreak.

Starting on March 7th, 2019 Alessia Cara opened for Shawn Mendes’ tour in Europe, USA and Canada performing songs mostly from The Pains of Growing, and later from her EP This Summer which is about her experience on this tour.

On July 15th, 2021, the 25 year-old released two promotional singles for her upcoming third album In The Mean Time. “Sweet Dream”, a song about her struggles with insomnia and “Shapeshifter” about a past relationship. Her new album reflects duality and artistic growth from the singer as her sound and voice are more mature.

Alessia Cara recently released a music video for one of her most personal songs “Best Days” including footage of her childhood and adulthood.

As of now, Alessia Cara has not announced any upcoming tour dates, but plans to go on tour as soon as it is safe in 2022.
