Australian group Chase Atlantic enlisted the help of up-and-coming pop star Maggie Lindemann on a brand-new version of their hit single “OHMAMI.” Composed of Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony, their newest single encompasses a Spanish ambiance, warmly welcoming pop stylistics, and now, a harmonious, heart-thumping female vocal offering.
“OHMAMI” placed its mark on the world earlier this summer, where it found comfort at the top of TikTok and streaming charts. The track garnered over 30 million streams nationwide and 30 million TikTok uses allowing the hit to become their second most used sound on the viral platform.
The band shared their insight working with rising star Lindemann, “Working with Maggie Lindemann was a pleasant surprise that transpired through social media; it was a new and exciting approach for us in terms of modern collaboration,” shares the band on today’s collab. “From the moment we started creating ‘OHMAMI,’ we believed that a female vocal would complement the track significantly. Once we heard Maggie’s verse, we were immediately taken back by her understanding of our sound and the way we create our music. To put it simply, Maggie completely understood the assignment. A+.”
Lindemann added, “When Chase Atlantic DM-d me asking if I wanted to collaborate on a new version of ‘OHMAMI’ — I was hyped. I was a fan of the original and was excited to do something a ‘lil different on the track.”
The collaboration follows the original track’s music video that pays homage to legendary films Blow and Wolf of Wall Street and fan-favorite video game GTA Vice City. The music video is directed by Mitchel, Clinton, and Christian themselves. Each member’s personality is deeply depicted, allowing them each to show off their creativity.
Less than a month, Chase Atlantic will be embarking on a North American tour beginning in Kansas and ending in Ontario. Get your tickets here.
