Clapham Common had incredible turnout during the first ATL+LDN Festival

Date:

Yesterday, August 30th, thousands flocked to Clapham Common to watch artists from the alt, hip-pop and rock genres perform at the very first ALT+LDN Festival. The performances took place across two stages. Despite acts like Machine Gun Kelly and Sleep Token pulling out due to COVID travel restrictions, the festival still had an impressive lineup including The Kid Laroi, Architects, Lil Yachty and many more.

The atmosphere on Clapham Common was incredible, all the festival goers were keen to see their favourite artist perform as well as being introduced to new artists. Plenty of drinks were consumed, so many mosh pits and thousands of people having a good time.

Starting off the day was Mimi Barks, Macca Wiles, Finn Askew, performing to a decent crowd on the main stage as the day got going.

Following up to the killer aesthetic set of Mimi Barks and visually colorful set of Finn, came Willow Kayne, Bob Vylan, Girli, Dana Dentata. All of whom delivered terrific sets to their audiences. Girli and Bob Vylan got up on the barricades to be closer to their fans. Dana’s performance had me speechless, it was absolutely brilliant.

After these exciting performances the crowds were treated to performances from Wargasm, Lil Yachty and Nova Twins. These artist all got the crowds going, lots of people jumping about, moshing and screaming the words to their favourite songs. It was such an incredible atmosphere.

The Kid Laroi managed to squeeze in one last UK festival appearance after his busy weekend at Reading & Leeds festival. He treated the excited crowd to a 45 minute set, which includes performances of his hit song “Stay” and “Without You”. Laroi also took a moment to mourn the loss of Juice WRLD.

British metal band, Architects, took to the stage next and delivered an excellent set to their fan who had been waiting for their performance all day. Architects were originally supposed to be headlining the second stage, which would have seen them perform a 90 minute set as opposed to the 45 minute set they had.

Be sure to keep ALT+LDN on your radar.
