8123 Announce 2022 Festival with The Maine, The Summer Set, 3oh!3, and more!

Date:

After cancelling their festival in 2021, 8123 Fest has announced the beginning of their plans for the 2022 annual event. On top of celebrating The Maine‘s 15th anniversary as a band, the event is also a milestone as it marks the reunions of The Summer Set and Beach Weather! Each year the festival takes place in Phoenix, Arizona, the home to The Maine.  The 2022 event is scheduled to officially take place January 22nd, while additional special events will take place from January 22nd through the 24th.

Since the first year of the event in 2017, 8123 Fest has double in size and even experienced a sold out even before the pandemic. Delayed from 2021 to 2022, the event marks the officially release of 8123 Fest and they’re back and better than ever! The event will not only host the main festival, but will also host multiple side shows (Make Emo Great Again!), a themed afterparty, an impactful volunteer day, and tons more.

Headliners for the 2022 event include The Maine, The Summer Set 3OH!3, Tessa Violet, Derek Sanders (of Mayday Parade), Beach Weather, and John The Ghost. Supporting artists for the event have no yet been announced.

“The weekend of the festival is our time to have all things The Maine happen in one place. Coming together are our friends that we have toured with plus the fans that we have met from all around the world, all in our hometown where the songs were written and where it all started. We are so excited for the return of 8123 Fest!” says The Maine’s drummer Pat Kirch.

This festival not only marks the 15th anniversary of The Maine, but also marks the reunion of The Summer Set, another Arizona native and long time pals of The Maine. The band has been on hiatus since 2017 and recently announced the return with a new single “Street Lightning,” which drops this Friday August 27th.

Vocalist Brian Dales says, “If there’s any silver lining to such an arduous year, it’s that it brought us home to Arizona, forced us to look inward, and allowed us to make some new music again just for fun. When The Maine asked us if we wanted to join 8123 Fest, we knew it was time to put that music out into the world. We’ve been playing shows with The Maine for almost fifteen years now, including our last show together as a band at 8123 Fest in 2017. I think it’s time to pick up where that story left off in 2022.”

Tickets for the event are now on sale and range from $55 (one day General Admission ticket) to $175 (includes additional events, pre-show, and emo afterparty). Tickets are anticipated to sell quickly.
