While the pandemic has been severe and scary, it has given people the opportunity to take on projects and hobbies that have been on the backburner. Some started on activities that they had always wanted to do, while others decided to try things that were out of their comfort zone. Given the circumstances, it was totally fine to just say, “Might as well” and take a risk.
On her new single, “Might Just,” Kiwi-Persian artist CHAII describes living in the moment and straying from the norm. Over slick production and in her resilient tone, CHAII dishes about throwing caution to the wind, singing, “I don’t even smoke, but I might just smoke it ‘til it’s done.” Her radiant vocals mix well with Kings’s rapid bars and eleven7fours’ suave flow, as they all take turns elaborating on what’s going on around them. Together, they make it all work, and give the track an impenetrable glow.
The video for “Might Just,” which you can check out below, features the squad performing in a variety of places. From a desolate pool to an empty plane, the rappers lowkey flex and bring forth the track’s vibe. They are all just making memories, and you know that they will have great stories to share by the end of the summer.
You can listen to “Might Just” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
